The Easter Fair in Belgrade

The only church fair in Serbia, ” The Holy Easter Fair, was held inBelgrade during 27.03.2012-5.04.2012, in the building called PalataBeogradanka.With the blessings of His Holiness Irineu, the Patriarch of the SerbianOrthodox Church and at the invitation of the organizer, the SerbianPatriarchate, of the Publisher Fund of the Archdiocese of BelgradeCarlovaț, by the distinguished advisor Mr. Gradomir Stan, we wereinvited, the only one company in Romania to attend the Easter Fair,which was unfolded during 8 days and on a huge exhibition spaceon three levels. There attended various manufacturers of icons,liturgical objects and vestments and publishers from Sebia, Croatia,Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria andGreece.The Easter Fair in Belgrade was not only a presentation of icons andchurch objects of exhibitors, but it was alsoaccompanied at fixedhours with prayer moment, by performing Te- Deum conferences,religious and national songs, mural painting, having distinguishedguests, archbishops, Bishops, Priests, writers, different people ofculture.The Reverend David Perovic, Bishop of Krușevaț and professor ofthe Faculty of Theology in Belgrade, was in visit to the stand of Eikoncompany, and admired the ecclesiastical treasures.I noticed the warmth and hospitality of the Serbian Orthodox Churchand itsspecial respect, which it bears to theSaintDevoultyParascheva-Svetaya Petka.This was because every bishop, priest or believer, with whom Italkedthat the head office of our company is the city of Iași, wasassociating the name with Svetaya Petka, which the Serbs beliversparticularily honor.Eikon Company offered to the buyer in Serbia, a wide range of icons,religious objects, supplies, and established a partnershipofcooperation with the Serbian Patriarchate.
